• The program is open to all construction professionals and associations who leverage Procore as either a customer or collaborator.

• Must agree to the use of company name and logo in Procore marketing channels.

• Must agree to be mentioned in a press release announcing the finalists / winners.

• Finalists (3 per category) and winners (selected from the 3 finalists) in each of the 7 categories will be chosen by a judging committee made up of Procore company stakeholders with the exception to the Excellence in Project Delivery - People’s Choice Award, where the winners will be chosen by a live audience attending Groundbreak 2024. Judges will look at the strength of each question answered by the submitting company to determine the top 3 submissions (finalists) in each category. Our judges generally look for submissions that answer all of the questions thouroughly and illustrates impact. Images that are provided should correlate with the rest of your submission. What are the Groundbreaker Awards?

The Groundbreaker Awards is Procore’s annual industry awards program, celebrating excellence in the construction industry in seven categories and putting a spotlight on the individuals, companies and projects that are making an impact and driving progress in the construction industry.

Who can enter?

Construction professionals from any sized company or company type that leverages Procore as a customer or collaborator in the following regions may enter: United States, Canada (excluding Quebec), UK, Ireland, UAE, Australia, New Zealand and ASEAN. All submissions must be entered in English for consideration.

How do I enter the 2024 Groundbreaker Awards?

Review the categories above and submit between April 8 - June 14, 2024.

Do I need to create an account in order to submit my awards submission?

Yes, to ensure that all applicants have access to the latest event information, you will need to create an account and password to complete your awards submission. If you already created an account and need to reset your password, click here.

What is the deadline to submit? 

Submissions close June 14, 2024 at 11:59pm Pacific Time (PT).

What makes a winning entry?

This answer varies per category. In general, our judging panel gives preference to submissions that are able to demonstrate strong results and / or impact. Three images will be required to support each entry and It is perfectly acceptable to include additional images, testimonials, video and other items to further support the entry. What are the categories?

There are 7 categories for the 2024 awards program: Community, Innovation, Safety, Sustainability, Culture & Workforce Development, Groundbreaker of the Year (individual award) and Excellence in Project Delivery - People's Choice (combined Owner, GC and SC project excellence category). Can I enter more than one submission?

Yes, you may enter up to five submissions per company. However we ask that you enter a different program, initiative or project if you are entering in more than one category.

Are the awards open to companies, projects or individuals?

It depends on the category. The Innovation award and Workforce Development awards will both celebrate COMPANIES. The Groundbreaker of the Year Award will celebrate an INDIVIDUAL. The project delivery award will celebrate PROJECTS. The Safety, Community and Sustainability awards are open to celebrating COMPANIES or PROJECTS.

Can I nominate someone for the Groundbreaker of the Year Award?

Yes. Individuals may either enter themselves or have a representative from their company nominate them for the Groundbreaker of the Year award.

How many finalists and winners will be announced in each category?

We will announce three finalist submissions in each category. One winner submission will be selected from the three finalists in each category.

When will finalists and winners be announced?

Finalists will be announced on https://www.procore.com/groundbreaker-awards in October 2024. Winners will be announced at Procore’s Groundbreak 2024 in Denver this November.

What are the prizes for finalists?

Each finalist will receive one complimentary conference pass to Groundbreak 2024, where winners of the 2024 Groundbreaker Awards will be announced and celebrated, with the exception of the Excellence in Project Delivery - People's Choice Award category, which will be awarded up to 4 tickets to Groundbreak 2024 (one for the Owner, General Contractor and up to 2 Specialty Contractors listed on the submission). Finalists will also receive a Groundbreaker Awards plaque, a Groundbreaker hoodie, publicity through a finalist announcement, story highlighted on Procore.com, social media promotion, and a Social Media Package containing Groundbreaker Awards finalist logo, social media graphics and posts that the finalist may share on their social channels.

What are the prizes for winners?

In addition to the prizes awarded to each finalist noted above, winners will receive a Groundbreaker Awards Trophy (in lieu of a Groundbreaker Award Plaque). Each award winner will also receive promotion and media exposure via a Procore Customer Story Package to include a Case Study, Article, Social Media Promotion, award recognition on Procore.com, Procore Press Release, and/or Social Media Promotion, and a Social Media Package containing Groundbreaker Awards winner logo, social media graphics and posts that the winner may share on their social channels. The Customer Story Package may also include film, photography, and / or other media and PR opportunities either at Groundbreak 2024 or shortly thereafter.

What are the prizes for the Groundbreaker of the Year?

In addition to the prizes awarded to each winning entry noted above, the winner of the Groundbreaker of the Year Award will also receive a Groundbreak 2025 VIP Package to include a complimentary pass to the 2025 Groundbreak conference–date and location to be announced. This prize award includes round-trip flight, hotel accommodations, and one Procore Groundbreak 2025 Conference Pass.

What are the judging criteria for the categories?

Who are the judges for the competition?

Each category will have a unique panel of judges made up of Procore stakeholders from various departments and teams. Judges will use the judging criteria and submission strengths to make finalist and winner selections in each category without any bias given to entrants regardless of relationships with the exception to the Excellence in Project Delivery - People’s Choice Award category, who's winner will be determined by Groundbreak 2024 attendees from the 3 finalists chosen by a penel of Procore stakeholders.

Where and when is the Groundbreaker Awards Celebration?

The 2024 Groundbreaker Awards will be held at Procore’s Groundbreak 2024 conference in Denver this November.

If I cannot attend Groundbreak can I still enter? Can I still win?

Absolutely. Although we would like all of our finalists to attend Groundbreak to be part of the Groundbreaker Awards celebration, you do not need to be present to win.
