The Challenge
Dolan Concrete used disparate systems to manage projects which were timeconsuming and inhibited field-to-office collaboration. The team wanted to find a solution that simplified their tech stack and fully integrated with their accounting software, Sage 300.
The Solution
Not only did Procore consolidate all project data into one location, but it also offered full integration with Sage 300. Plus, the platform was user-friendly and intuitive to use for both office and field teams.
The Results
“Procore saves me at least two hours every week. In the past, I’d spend the first two hours of my day truing-up items in the different systems. Now, all that’s taken care of for me in a few clicks. We’re talking about a total of 30 seconds.”

The Story
Over the years, Dolan Concrete accumulated various project management and financial software to manage their projects. But the challenge was that none of these systems were integrated which meant teams often had to double or triple enter data.
In an effort to streamline their processes, Dolan turned to Procore. With one system, teams gained access to real-time data and eliminated double entry. "Procore spoke all the languages we needed it to—drawings, RFIs, change orders—and it was all in one place. It was a no-brainer," explains Financial Controller Gabriel Gutierrez.
What’s more, with Procore’s unlimited user license model, teams can access the information they need, when they need it—meaning better communication between the field and office.
"We’re arming our field team with technology that helps support us in the office. Procore empowers our field team so they’re not just working for us, they’re leading us," explains Gabriel.
Not only is Procore easy to use for both field and office teams, but with the Sage 300 integration, Dolan was able to keep their existing accounting and project management processes. Gabriel smiles, "Finding a solution that integrates well with Sage is like finding a diamond in the rough. We’ve been looking for years and years, and Procore was the one that fully integrated."
He adds, "It’s a one-stop-shop. We’re not toggling back and forth between three or four applications, trying to true-up jobs, costs, and budgets. Now we can do all that in one place."
This helped the team save hours—for some, upwards of three hours a week per employee. Gabriel reflects, "Procore saves me at least two hours every week. In the past, I’d spend the first two hours of my day truing-up items in the different systems. Now, all that’s taken care of for me in a few clicks. We’re talking about a total of 30 seconds."
But it wasn’t only Dolan’s team that benefited from having a streamlined platform. "Our general contractor clients have used Procore for years," Gabriel explains. "We’re now creating a synergy so we share the same experience with them. We’re all speaking the same language through Procore."
Gabriel notes that much has changed in the industry since the company was founded in 1956. "Now everything is much more complex—not just because of the industry, but also because where we’ve grown to as a business. Being able to combat that change with good information and good systems has helped us get to this point."
For Dolan, implementing Procore was not only a way to drive better project outcomes for today—it’s also a way to ensure future success. "My father and my grandfather both worked here," Gabriel continues. "I have a tremendous amount of history here, so this company means a lot more to me than just a job. I’m hoping to leave a legacy behind."
